Room for innovation:
New R&D building in Traunreut

Started in 2023, to be completed in 2026.

HEIDENHAIN is creating more physical space for innovation, investing nearly 100 million euros in its new R&D center. More than 180 meters long, the new building has room for 450 employees, all working on technological solutions that set standards. Equipped with dedicated workstations, state-of-the-art labs, and spacious communication zones, the new center will create the optimal conditions for interdisciplinary R&D. Featuring an EG 40 building standard, along with solar panels and heating from a geothermal plant, the center will become our new home for innoviation and precision.
